The Wyndbreakers

The Wyndbreakers!! Florida's own high-tech, low brow, pub rockin', guitar pickin', neo-traditional, low carb, mandolin wranglin', life changing, blatantly harmonizin', underpriced, whistle blowing, nearly acoustic, sorta not, traffic stopping, modern retro, flute envying, family oriented yet vaguely bawdy, non-fattening, lactos-friendly, dairy-free, born on the wrong continent, hypo-allergenic, girthy and pretty OK with it, string plucking, frozen snottered, now offering gentle relief, fiddle bowing, tiger taming, Lancelot Linking, bodhran beating, PSAT tutoring, audience interactive, low whistle chiffing, quality goes in before the name goes on, good and I mean it buddy, incessantly rambling, Scottish/Irish/Ceilidh band! Erin agus Alba go bragh! And we do weddings...

John Murdoch

Our master of ceremonies is originally from Belfast,Ireland and currently residing in Eden, NY. John Murdoch performs regularly in the Western New York Area but we are fortunate enough to have him at our festival. He combines song and comedy in a way that will have you laughing all weekend.

Bobby Murray

Hailing from Lanarkshire, Scotland, accordion virtuoso Bobby Murray has been performing internationally for more than four decades. Bobby started his musical career as a teenager, entertaining with his band from Aberdeenshire to the County of Caithness on the north coast of Scotland. Bobby is an award winning composer, arranger and author, with a very long and distingushed list of compositions and accomplishments. In 1997 he began to tour the US where his "one man band" sound has made him a favorite from coast to coast.

The Hooligans
Rathkeltair
New to the Celtic rock scene is the Hooligans, a five member act from and around the mountains of Western North Carolina. Using their collective years of experience and knowledge, the Hooligans have crafted a sound that blends the musical versitility of such band as Steely Dan and Toto, with the beautiful and haunting sounds of traditional Celtic instruments such as the Highland Bagpipe, mandolin, and tin whistle. In a typical show, you're likely to hear anything from very progresive sounding arrangements of traditional piping tunes, celtic influenced songs from all eras of popular music and even some original material penned by the band. Taking top honors for "Best Celtic Rock Band" of 2006 in the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine Annual Audience Poll, RATHKELTAÍR (pronounced rath-KELT-ur) enjoys a loyal and growing international fan base.
RATHKELTAÍR consists of bagpiper Neil Anderson and drummer Nick Watson, two original members of America's ground-breaking Celtic rock supergroup 7 Nations, and guitarist Trevor Tanner, front-man/lead guitarist/songwriter for The Bolshoi, one of the most influential UK rock bands of the late '80's.
The Wild Highlanders
The Tampa Bay Pipes & Drums
Alex Cameron was born in the Highlands of Scotland and learned his craft as a Hammerman, Harness Maker and a Lorimer at the side of his grandfather whom he was named after. He has been making Scottish weapons and accessories for over 40 years. Alex and his son Scot will put on shows throughout the festival, telling of the making and the history behind the weapons, as well as teaching about the "Great Kilt" and how it was worn. The most fun you'll have while being educated. The Tampa Bay Pipes & Drums have performed throughout the Southeastern United States. In addition to participating at the Scottish Highland games around the Southeast, they also perform yearly at the Florida State Fair, The Gasparilla Night parade in Tampa Florida, the Tampa St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Chasco Fiesta parade. The band serves the Hillsborough County, City of Tampa, and City of Largo Police Departments for ceremonies and memorial services.
